Columbus Soap Box Derby

The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program open to any child between the ages of 7 and 17. Children compete in three levels of gravity powered racing cars built from kits purchased from the All-American Soap Box Derby.You can find complete rules by visiting: www.aasbd.org .

Our purpose is to teach young people basic workmanship skills while promoting a spirit of competition and perseverance through Soap Box Derby racing.

Local Race:

Saturday, June16th:

Park opens at 8 a.m. and

registration closes at 8:30 a.m.

We expect fields for stock, superstock and masters.

One double elimination race

in each class

will determine who will

represent Columbus as a Champion

for the All-American Race in Akron on July 21st

$45/car/race

run out will be provided by

the North Columbus Jaycees.

Get your racer out of the back of your garage and come on out to our Derby hill, located at 4201 Clime Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43228.

Practice runs and inspections

will take place on

Saturday, June 9th during

and after our

Columbus Super Kids Race.

Directions to the track:

From I-270 in the southwest quadrant of Columbus, go north on Georgesville Rd. and turn RIGHT on Clime Rd. at the "Flower Factory". Proceed east on Clime about 1/4 mile where you will enter the park. Follow the park road as far as you can go just after you enter the gate and you will find the Derby Hill.
